Just five of each will be made available to Canada
Not so long ago, Alfa Romeo was unobtanium in North America. Today, the brand tried to reclaim some of that sense of exclusivity by unveiling limited-release NRING editions of the 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio.
Both are based on the Quadrifoglio models – and are mechanically unaltered because, as they put it, the brand already feels those cars are the best they can be – but they do include heavy use of carbon fibre accents, an exclusive paint colour, and a serialized number inlay on the dashboard, among other highlights.
Only 110 of these will be allocated to North America with just five of each making their way north to Canada.
Both cars will feature exclusive Circuito Grey matte paint, carbon fibre on the mirror caps and the front grille, darkened exterior badging, red brake calipers with Alfa Romeo script, a carbon fibre steering wheel, a two-tone black and red leather interior with red stitching, and the convenience package, premium alarm system, and the driver assistance dynamic package that includes adaptive cruise control plus with full stop, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and an infrared windshield.
On the Giulia, 19-inch wheels in dark five-hole aluminum are added, as is an exposed carbon fibre roof, illuminated carbon fibre side sills, and optional Sparco carbon fibre framed racing seats.
The Stelvio comes with the same styling of wheels in a 20-inch size along with a dual-pane sunroof and carbon fibre side sills.
“Today, we honour not only what Alfa Romeo represents to the automotive community, but what it stands for as a storied brand with historic racing victories and record-setting laps at the Nürburgring,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Alfa Romeo. “Enthusiasts in North America can now experience that tradition firsthand with these special, limited-edition Quadrifoglio NRING vehicles.”
The NRING models will begin arriving in early summer with pricing yet to be announced.
